Subject-matter input
Where a manuscript raises a specialized technical or professional question, JQPP may seek additional subject-matter input. Such input is not represented as anonymous external peer review unless that process has actually occurred and is accurately stated on the published article record.
Conflicts of interest
An editor with a material personal, professional, or financial conflict concerning a submission should not make the acceptance decision for that manuscript. The submission may be reassigned, independently assessed, deferred, or declined.
Profile privacy
Publication of an editor's personal biography, photograph, employer, or external profile is optional. An editor may serve in an editorial role without making those personal details public on the journal website.
