Privacy Policy
JQPP uses a data-minimization approach. Personal information is collected only where reasonably necessary to receive submissions, communicate with authors, assess manuscripts, process accepted publications, administer payments, protect the service, and maintain the public publication record.
Information you provide
Depending on how you use JQPP, information may include:
- name, affiliation, professional role, ORCID iD, and contact details;
- manuscripts, abstracts, keywords, author statements, disclosures, and supporting files;
- editorial correspondence and revision history;
- transaction and payment-status information when paid publication is enabled; and
- information you provide when raising a correction, rights, privacy, or integrity concern.
Information generated through use of the site
Hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may generate routine technical information such as IP address, request logs, device/browser information, timestamps, and security events. JQPP does not currently require user accounts and does not intentionally build behavioral advertising profiles.
How information is used
- to administer submissions and editorial decisions;
- to communicate about manuscripts and publications;
- to generate and maintain article metadata and the journal archive;
- to process publication fees where applicable;
- to investigate security, fraud, rights, or publication-integrity concerns;
- to comply with applicable legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations; and
- to operate, maintain, and improve the service.
Public publication metadata
Publication records are intentionally public and may be indexed by search engines and scholarly discovery services. Public information may include author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, article title, abstract, keywords, dates, declarations, license information, citation information, and the published PDF. Authors should not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in material intended for publication.
Service providers
JQPP may use third-party infrastructure for hosting, source control, forms, email routing, payment processing, and security. The site is deployed through Cloudflare from a private GitHub repository. Additional providers will be identified where relevant before submission or payment workflows are activated.
International processing
Internet infrastructure and service providers may process information in more than one country. By using JQPP, users should understand that technical processing and storage may occur outside their country of residence, subject to the arrangements of the relevant service providers and applicable law.
Retention
Submission and editorial records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for journal administration, integrity review, dispute handling, accounting, security, or legal obligations. Published metadata and publication-history records are intended to remain available as part of the journal archive.
Your requests
Where applicable, individuals may ask about personal information associated with a submission or request correction of inaccurate non-public personal data. Requests concerning the public publication record will be considered in light of the need to preserve an accurate scholarly and professional record.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as JQPP's services or legal operator structure changes. The revision date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
