Submit a Manuscript

JQPP uses an invitation-based submission process. Start by sending a short request below. If the proposed manuscript appears within scope, the editorial office will issue a private submission link.

No manuscript upload is required at this stage. The request takes about two minutes.

No submission fee

Keep this brief. This is only for the initial editorial fit check.

2. Editorial fit checkJQPP reviews whether the manuscript is plausibly within scope.
3. Private submissionIf invited, use the private link to upload the PDF and complete the formal submission record.

Preprints are welcome

Posting a manuscript on SSRN or another preprint server does not by itself prevent submission to JQPP. The prior version and its URL should be disclosed.

Publication fee

Submission is free. A single publication fee applies after editorial acceptance: US$300 for international billing or ¥39,800 for Japan domestic billing.

Minimum submission standard

  • A defined question, problem, case, method, or professional contribution
  • A manuscript written in clear English with sufficient evidence for its claims
  • Complete authorship and affiliation information
  • Accurate and traceable references
  • Disclosure of competing interests, funding, ethics considerations, material AI use, and data availability
  • Rights to submit the manuscript and any third-party material it contains

An invitation permits formal submission for editorial assessment. It is not an acceptance decision, promise of publication, or request for payment.
