Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to the JQPP website and submission of material for possible publication. Additional transaction terms may apply if a manuscript is accepted and paid publication is offered.
Using JQPP
By using the site or submitting material, you agree to comply with these terms and the policies linked from them. If you submit on behalf of other authors, you confirm that you are authorized to act for them in relation to the submission.
No right to publication
Submission does not create a right to review, revision, acceptance, publication, indexing, citation, or any particular editorial outcome. JQPP may decline material that is outside scope, incomplete, insufficiently supported, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise unsuitable for the journal.
Rights you must have
You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the manuscript and any third-party material it contains. Submission must not knowingly violate copyright, confidentiality, privacy, contractual restrictions, trade secrets, or other third-party rights.
License to evaluate a submission
By submitting, you authorize JQPP to receive, store, copy, process, and internally evaluate the submitted files and metadata for editorial and administrative purposes. This evaluation permission does not transfer ownership of your copyright.
Accepted publications
If a manuscript is accepted, authors retain copyright unless a different arrangement is expressly agreed. Publication requires the author to grant JQPP the rights reasonably necessary to host, display, preserve, index, and distribute the accepted article and its metadata under the license shown on the article record. JQPP's default publication license is CC BY 4.0.
Author representations
By submitting, the submitting author represents that authorship information is accurate, all listed authors have approved the submission, required permissions have been obtained, and material prior dissemination, conflicts, funding, ethics considerations, and AI use have been disclosed where relevant.
Editorial process
JQPP uses editorial review and does not claim external peer review. Editors may accept, reject, or request revision. A request for revision does not guarantee acceptance. JQPP may make non-substantive formatting, metadata, and presentation changes; material changes to an author's argument or findings should involve the author.
Fees
Submission is free. The planned publication fee is ¥49,800 for an accepted article. No publication fee is due before acceptance. Payment does not influence the editorial decision and does not purchase acceptance. Paid checkout is currently disabled.
Withdrawal
An author may request withdrawal before publication. Once an article has been published, removal is not treated as ordinary withdrawal: corrections, retractions, or other post-publication actions may be used to preserve the integrity of the public record.
Prohibited conduct
Users must not use JQPP to submit unlawful material, impersonate another person, misrepresent authorship, fabricate identities or evidence, interfere with the site's operation, probe or bypass security controls, or use automated means in a manner that materially disrupts the service.
Website content and branding
Unless otherwise stated, the JQPP name, site design, navigation, policy text, and other journal-owned website content are not part of an author's CC BY article license. Published article rights are governed by the license displayed on each article record.
Third-party services and links
JQPP may rely on or link to third-party services, including infrastructure, ORCID, payment, or external reference services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Availability and changes
JQPP may modify the website, workflow, prospective fees, or policies, and may temporarily suspend features for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. Changes should not retroactively misstate the editorial status or publication license of an already published article.
Operator and transaction details
The legal operator and any legally required transaction disclosures will be identified on the Commercial Information page before paid publication is enabled.
