Publication Ethics
JQPP aims to maintain a publication record that is accurate, attributable, transparent, and suitable for professional and scholarly scrutiny. Authors remain responsible for the integrity of submitted work; editors are responsible for applying the journal's stated editorial standards consistently.
Originality and prior dissemination
Submissions should make an original contribution or provide a clearly identified synthesis, case analysis, technical note, or professional-practice contribution. Authors must disclose substantially overlapping prior publication, working papers, preprints, reports, conference versions, or other public versions where relevant. Prior public availability does not automatically make a work ineligible, but it must not be concealed.
Plagiarism, attribution, and permissions
Text, ideas, data, figures, tables, images, code, and other material derived from others must be appropriately attributed. Authors are responsible for obtaining any permission required for third-party material. Fabricated citations, disguised copying, or deliberate misattribution may result in rejection or post-publication action.
Data, evidence, and factual integrity
Authors must not knowingly fabricate, falsify, or materially misrepresent data, sources, methods, professional observations, or results. Evidence should be proportionate to the claims being made. Where data or evidence cannot be made public because of confidentiality, contractual, privacy, security, or legal constraints, the limitation should be stated accurately.
Authorship and contributor responsibility
Named authors should have made a meaningful contribution and should approve the submitted version. Honorary, purchased, fictitious, or status-only authorship is not acceptable. A submitting author acting for co-authors is responsible for confirming that all listed authors have authorized the submission.
Competing interests and funding
Authors should disclose financial, professional, organizational, personal, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as affecting the work. Relevant funding, sponsorship, or institutional support should also be identified. A declaration of “no competing interests” or “no external funding” may be used when accurate.
Research involving people, confidential information, or regulated data
Where a submission involves human participants, personal data, confidential records, proprietary information, regulated datasets, or other ethics-sensitive material, authors are responsible for complying with applicable approval, consent, privacy, confidentiality, and legal requirements. The article should state the relevant approval, consent, exemption, or limitation where material to evaluating the work.
AI-assisted work
AI systems must not be listed as authors. Authors remain accountable for all submitted content, including factual accuracy, citations, analysis, permissions, and originality. Material use of generative AI should be disclosed when it meaningfully affects drafting, analysis, coding, literature synthesis, figure generation, evidence processing, or interpretation. This follows the same core principle used by major research platforms: human authors retain responsibility for AI-assisted work.
Editorial conflicts and independence
Editorial decisions are independent of publication payment. Where an editor has a material conflict concerning a submission, the decision should be reassigned or otherwise handled to preserve independent judgment. Payment is requested only after acceptance.
Corrections, withdrawals, and retractions
Minor errors that do not invalidate the work may be corrected transparently. Serious errors, integrity problems, rights violations, or legal concerns may require withdrawal or retraction. Raising a concern
Concerns should identify the relevant manuscript or article, the specific issue, and supporting information where available. The public contact channel will be listed on the Contact page before submissions open.
